The Challenge: #22 Masquerade
Fabric: Cotton with silver glitter & floral cotton print
Pattern: Simplicity 5582 – Bodice, McCall 6343 “sleeves”, Simplicity 9026 for both skirts.
Year: Fantasy
Notions: Lace & Ribbon, Zip ties for boning, grommets.
How historically accurate is it? Inspired by Georgian designs.
Hours to complete: No idea.
First worn: 10/28/13
Total cost: $0 Glitter fabric was gifted from a friend, floral print was leftovers from my Mom’s bedroom curtains. Lace was from a close out sale for decorations from my wedding. The ribbon was from the wrapping from a Christmas present from my Mother in Law. And of course I had the patterns already in my stash.

There are actually two skirts, and the over-skirt has a train, and is open in the front. The train is bustled and I wore this to trick-or-treat at the Redford Library with C2, his friend, and my fabulous friend Kendra who works there.

I had hoped to wear it trick-or-treating on Halloween, but it rained. 🙁
