Yay! We had a really good Thursday/Pirate game tonight. I hope tomorrow’s does well. Yay! I’m really kind of excited about how this (Friday) game is going.

*chuckle-snort* Sorry. I’m in a really off mood today… So anyway, this is kind of like a test. I changed the permissions in the back end, and evidentally that (after the server went down and was brought back up from some major problems with the battery backups and a really bad storm last week) and bringing the server back up, made the security reject my website completely until I restored most of the regular permission settings. No news yet on Uncle Ed. :-/
So in the Friday game we now have “Adult Supervision” in the form of Chris playing Tungsten’s older brother (the middle one) who had been sent waaaaay far up north and is now back to get Lord Wolfram (AKA Dad) back. Chris made a flow chart for Steve’s character, Tungsten, that basically started out with “Can I stab it?”. I think with the leadership change, it may have gone to “Does it burn?”. *sigh* Things are moving a bit faster now tho. YAY!
Yesterday I picked up the fabric (and washed/ironed it all) for my Tamara outfit. I’ve got less than 2 weeks to get it done. I’m hoping to work on it a bit when CJ takes a nap and gets to bed. Right now he keeps handing me things to screw… *snicker* yeah. He’s got a couple of toys that you can dismantle with screws and bolts, and even a pair of books that you use screws and bolts to put together things. Otherwise he’s trying very hard to be good. 
Anyway, the fabric… for the top I’ve got a nice brown knit, some bias tape for the trim, a cotton print (because I desire texture) for the cuffs. For the pants I got an army green twill and some mint green bias tape for the detail at the cuff. For the apron, I actually found a really close simplicity pattern, I just have to add the split up the front and change the pocket style. I’ll be making it out of a natural colored canvas. I’m thinking of using leather for the pockets and buttons.
For the Thursday Pirate game, we didn’t game this past week. But I put up a few things for it… Journal Entries, and a story about Why Rojo hates Sharks. I haven’t quite started withdrawls, but I’m getting there.
One of the reasons why I’m not quite in withdrawals yet is the Shadowrun 4th Ed game online on Sundays. Finished our first run, but now we have to meet up with the Johnson, and Rylee is really sure that’s where the real danger lies.

So we got to play our Pirate game yesterday. Lots of good game background got out. So Dave’s character was a psychopath Varuulani military officer who was responsible for mass murder, and now has turned against the Varuulani. Iiiinnnteresting…
I got done with all I can do right now with Dave’s Girl Genius/Zola’s Mook costume. I’ve still got to put together the rest of mine. Really, it’s all about putting stuff I already have together, and maybe finishing my waist-cincher. I’m psyched to see how Kristie’s Zola outfit comes out. She’s doing the full blown big pink Victorian style top and full skirt outfit with that giant coat and all the Heterodyne trilobites. She’s going to make an extra one for Dave’s collar. I need to find some glasses for Dave. I need to see if I can throw together a hat too.
The next thing I have to make is my outfit for JaFax. Since Dave & Kristie are going to be from Tales of the Abyss, I finally found an easy outfit I can do of an obscure character, Tamara. She’s one of the engineers of Class M. The three of us are going to be judging the costume contest and masquerade. I was originally thinking of going as Rangiku from Bleach, but then that kinda messes with the Tales of the Abyss thing the other two already have going on, and since Tamara’s outfit is really quite wearable, and that apron has a definite steampunky vibe, I am totally digging it. OH, and I can complain about the damn kids… ;D she’s an old lady… I’m just going to dye my hair a light ash blond for it. Pretty close to my natural dark ash blond anyway…
Tonight is gaming, but we’re off next week because most of us are going to the steampunk con. I have been beating my head about what EXACTLY happened to Lord Wolfram (Tungsten’s dad). I have two options in my head. It will hit me when I’m at work. That’s what usually happens anyway. I think that will determine what happens next really.
