The photo is still on my phone. Yesterday, Daddy laid CJ down for a nap, and after a while I heard him giggling and making happy noises in his room. I just peeked in, and saw him standing in his crib, holding onto the railing. Thank goodness I had Poppy come over and help me drop the crib down a couple notches 3 days before. He was very pleased with himself. I had Daddy come quick and see him standing there very triumphantly. I took a couple quick pictures on my cell phone. I haven’t uploaded them yet. He’s going to be a toddler soon! He turned 9 months old on Saturday.
Oh! And I’m also quite satisfied with myself. Yesterday, I finished CJ’s green cotton velvet draperies. They are even hanging in his room as I type. W00T!
And I finished A Feast for Crows. Now I get to be among the masses hoping Martin will finish A Dance with Dragons soon. Next book I’m going to start tonight is Innocent Traitor by Allison Weir, a story about Lady Jane Grey, the 9 days queen.
I am a procrastinator. I hate to admit it, but it takes a fire under my @$$ or I’ll just figure out a way to avoid doing something until the last minit. And sometimes it’s not even intentional. *sigh* I need some motivation. *shrug*
I’m just waiting to set up my “new” website. I need to call my web guy instead of just emailing him. *sigh* I hate talking on the phone. I never hear people properly on the phone.
CJ is doing well. Momma is doing well. Momma does not work properly with a lack of sleep. Now that the teething has taken a break, CJ is sleeping through the night and Mommma is feeling a great deal better. You don’t really realize how much you depend on a straight night of sleep until it’s missing for a month or more. I think I’d need a whole month of long sleep filled nights to re-coup what I’ve missed. Oh Gramma…you wanna watch the little one for a while? Take the big one too…
I really need to do some sewing.
CJ’s curtains, an 18th C. outfit for CJ, Daddy’s Sleeves (HA!), something for Erin to wear under the corset I made so I can get photos of her in it. And lots of little projects all over the house.
It’s snowing. AGAIN. ‘Tis deep. AGAIN. I’m NOT shoveling AGAIN. Chris’ turn. He did shovel last time. But after I busted my ass the couple of times before that…his turn. Or he can get the snowblower repaired.
I do like driving in the snow. The gentle careening and gliding of the car is almost like a dance. I don’t like to dance with others, but I do like to dance on snow alone in my car…it’s fun and peaceful at the same time. *shrug*
I have to get Chris to shovel a little spot out for Bella… It’s not hard packed snow yet, so she’ll just fall through and get lost. It’s so funny when the snow is denser and she’s not heavy enough to break through the surface tension except when she tries to run. I really want to get her groomed…but I don’t dare have any of her fur removed for fear that she will freeze to death in this frigid and snowy weather.
CJ is doing good. He’s starting to crawl around, then sit up on his own. He’s trying desperately to pull himself into a standing position, and climb sitting people. Like with Bella, Momma is just another obstacle to be scaled.
Hopefully soon I’ll have a website back up, then I’ll change the name of my live journal.
