You are The Star
Hope, expectation, Bright promises.
The Star is one of the great cards of faith, dreams realised
The Star is a card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with water to quench your thirst, with a guiding light to the future. They might say you’re a dreamer, but you’re not the only one.

Ok, last night I replaced the 2 rows of 24 gague jewelry wire with actual milliner’s wire to CJ’s Gandalf hat. OMG does it make a HUGE difference. It looks like it’s supposed to now. I can’t wait to put him in the outfit and get pictures. Now to get him to hold still…
I added a new userpic…me in my effigy style corset. I wore it to work yesterday at Haberman’s. It’s so much easier to explain things about corsets when you can just point to parts of yourself and say "This is a grommet, see, it goes like this…" and "…so the boning goes on either side, like this or you get that gaping…" I got a lot of compliments, and I felt GREAT!
rambling about Habermans, the most fabulous fabric store in Michigan…
Gee, how surprising is this? Er, not.

The Renaissance was a cultural movement that profoundly affected European intellectual life. Beginning in Italy, and spreading to the rest of Europe by the 16th century, its influence affected literature, philosopy, religion, art, politics, science, and all other aspects of intellectual enquiry. Renaissance artists looked at the human aspect of life in their art. They did not reject religion but tended to look at it in it’s purest form to create visions they thought depicted the ideals of religion. Painters of this time had their own style and created works based on morality, religion, and human nature. Many of the paintings depicted what they believed to be the corrupt nature of man.
People that like Renaissance paintings like things that are more challenging. They tend to have a high emotional stability. They also tend to be more concientious then average. They have a basic understanding of human nature and therefore are not easily surprised by anything that people may do. They enjoy life and enjoy living. They are very aware of their own mortality but do not dwell on the end but what they are doing in the present. They enjoy learning, but may tend to be a bit more closed minded to new ideas as they feel that the viewpoint they have has been well researched and considered. These people are more old fashioned and not quite as progressive. They enjoy the finer things in life like comfort, a good meal, and homelife. They tend to be more spiritual or religious by nature. They are open to new aesthetic experiences.

Ok, like I mentioned in the last post I want to dress up for the Torg game for Devil’s Night (and to work on Halloween too…or not). And the things I was thinking about were:
- Black Mage(from 8 bit theatre but I don’t know if that’s too cutesy to go with Dave’s Red Mage because is that bluring that "creepy" line ’cause he’s my brother in law?)
- Vampire (I was a Vampire in ’97 when I met my DH)
- Rei Kuroishi (my Torg Character)
- Or wear Garb I already have (boring, but no $ or time investment since it’s just under a week away)
Any comments or suggestions out there? Help.
Ok, so CJ is going to be Gandalf for Halloween. Still no photos of him in the outfit. Maybe soon *crosses fingers*. I do have a picture of the hat up at my website on the little page for his costume (click the tiny photo of the hat to go there). I have some milliners wire I’m going to try to replace the jewelry wire that’s in there with.
Next week at our Thursday group, Dave is going to give extra XP (maybe possibilities since it’s Torg that we’re playing) to whoever shows up in costume (he does it every year, he always seems to be GMing at Halloween). So I have to figure out what I’m going to be. I was thinking of using my big blue long pointy sleeved dress and make a yellow hat and go as Black Mage (I read 8 bit theatre, but I’ve never played final fantasy). See, Dave always dresses up as Red Mage for Ren Fairs, but then I don’t know if that’s too cutsey. But Black Mage is always trying to kill Red Mage, and Fighter, and Thief… so I dunno. I’d also have to get a fake stabby knife. I’m also considering going as a vampire, or maybe my Torg PC Rei. If nothing else I could just grab some garb, but that’s so boring.
