Ok, so I was watching Pirates of the Caribbean, and the other day was Blackbeard on National Geographic, and tonight is supposed to be Pirate Code on Nat. Geo…. and if you remember, we have a Pirate game going…And I’ve been nicknamed the IT Pirate by Kate a loooong time ago… Yar.
I really need to make me a real Pirate outfit. Chris does F&I re-enacting (7 years war, 1750s) which is right towards the end of the Romantic Pirate time period. So I already have the research and historical books. Plus I have right around enough black brocade to make me a pirate coat…or at least a sleeved waistcoat. I need to finish up (at least as much as I can) Chris’ Tudor, then I can start cutting out the coat & shirt. Minimum, I need pants, shirt & waistcoat. Ideally I’ll get pants, 2 shirts, waistcoat & coat. It’s a nice dream anyway…
