So I’m going to see if I can make a blackworked coif…I’m just using a piece of blackwork I started years ago, and I’m going to see if I can piece the front section together since I’m just using Aida cloth. I just feel like I need to do some hand sewing of some sort. And I borrowed a cool Blackwork book from the library that had been discontinued, but there is a problem with the book, the stitches start at pattern 14, and then after pattern 37 I think, it repeats, 14-45. Anyway, it’s a cool, inspiring book.
Kristy helped me with making a mold of the refined ouch. Her’s came out much cleaner…there’s a reason she’s the Sculpy Goddess. I’ll probably try using the mold tomorrow.
Played with more sculpy today. Tried to re-create this candy cane tree I saw at the store, but I need to figure out how to do the stripes a little better. I’m also trying to refine the ouches. Made another base, will try to make another mold tomorrow and see how it goes. And finally I took a suggestion from CJ and I’m finishing baking a black katamari ball necklace.
So I finished the molds last night, and this morning I made a couple of samples from them. I like the bottom 3 best. Last night I tried to make a sort of “Queen’s Jewel” from the portraits…I am NOT a sculptor…But it’s not horribly horrible…just a little horrible.
So I want to try to make a better mold of the bottom right two and try them out. I’ve also got to figure out how to make it be able to sew down or add to jewelry. Maybe adding eye screws or something.
No, not icky molds, molds for making multitudes of ouches. Today we picked up some of the sculpy mold maker stuff. I’m going to let it cool overnight…but one small one I made turned out really well and was cool right away. So I tried it and it just got done baking. It’s too hot to touch yet so I’m going to wait until morning, let everything cool. I don’t know how well stuff is going to work out, but the little one that I did using a button that I tore apart, looks like it might work well. I can’t wait to try them all. I’m probably going to need to get some little tiny jewelry eye bolts to use with these. Earlier today I also got my test set of fore-sleeves cut out of the fashion fabric and inter-lining. Yay! Stuff is getting done.
Today was nice. Spent most of the day boyless with daddy. 
It was nice. We had a double date with some friends. Went and saw Men Who Stare at Goats. It was pretty cool. Not enough stuff blew up, but I loved it’s cheese & star wars references. Daddy and I finished Final Fantasy 1 for the play station 2. Take that Garland, we knocked you all down!
Making ouches (the renaissance clothing decoration, not boo boos). No photos yet. Will probably be up really late. Boy is at Grandmas…I love Grandma… XD
