Day 5

The last couple of days we've been tracking the murderer through the land without much problem. It's not like he was trying to cover his tracks. We sent the priest of the One god back to some town or something, where a couple of the guys went and got some provisions. I'm kinda glad to see that priest gone. It was fun that he made Belethion feel uncomfortable, but the way he looked at me was like I wasn't a real person because I didn't believe in his god. Good riddance.
Last night we were attacked by crazed natives. Auntie Pigeon and Tusky Poo plowed them down, and Alex really can use that gun VERY WELL. She took out their mage and they broke ranks. Vickland & I mostly hid in this large pine tree. I could do nothing to help fight except not get hurt. Corpse-Eye wasn't so lucky. He's pretty bad off. I've made him some good berries this morning.
Dad was able to figure out the meaning of that damn phrase. I was close, a soul for a soul, not a heart for a heart, but I mean, who's splitting hairs? I certainly hope they like Elf soul. I just have to make sure that he arrives undamaged.
