I fell asleep on watch. So did Corpse-Eye. The others were not happy, but no one really seemed to mind the extra sleep, and we weren't attacked. Anyway we've crossed into Orc-Territory. We spotted a sign that indicated that it was "Red Spear" territory. Later we found a smoldering fort and their cowardly chief who was the only living survivor. This same maniac deviated from his path, went and wiped out this village and went right back to his path! I realize that these were filthy uncivilized Orcs, but to murder in cold blood the old, infirm and even the babes still at breast. What kind of monster are we up against? Some indication, we have figured from his unwavering direction, he is headed directly for Talfair, the land of the undead. The Orc said he was wearing a mask, hat and bandolier. He traveled alone, but was more powerful than anyone he had ever met. 
I'm going to go and talk to Elonah and calm my nerves.

While I was at the river we were attacked by these undead. After they past by me (I prayed and turned into a tree that they wouldn't notice) I ran to warn the others, but they were out looking for me. I had to protect Dad. I still need him for the ransom. Elonah helped me fight these unnatural beasts. This time I could do more than hide in the trees. I wonder how valuable this gem I found on one of the monsters I killed is worth.
